Metronome Settings dialog

The Metronome Settings dialog can be reached from the Pattern Editor toolbar and can be used to customize the metronome.

Common Settings[edit]

  • Enable Metronome: Allows the metronome to be turned on and off. While editing, the metronome can also be toggled more quickly by clicking the metronome icon in the pattern editor icon toolbar.
  • Volume: Changes the overall volume of the metronome.

Measure / Beat[edit]

The metronome uses two different sounds to indicate the first beat of a measure, and all remaining beats. The configuration of both samples is identical:

From the dropdown menu, you can choose whether to not play any sound, use the default built-in sound or use a custom sample.

When choosing Custom Sample, you can browse for a suitable sample or directly enter the filename. All sample formats supported by OpenMPT can be used.
