The ParamEq (Parametric Equalizer) plugin is a simple, single-band equalizer based on a biquad filter. This effect lets you select the frequency to boost or cut, control the bandwidth of the affected range, and adjust the amount of gain applied.

Parameters[edit]

Center Frequency[edit]

  • Sets the center of the frequency range that will be boosted or cut as specified by the Gain parameter.
  • Range: 80 Hz to 16,000 Hz

Bandwidth[edit]

  • Range: 1 to 36 Semitones
  • Controls the width of the frequency range affected by the EQ. Narrower bandwidths create precise adjustments that affect only a small frequency range, useful for removing specific resonances or feedback frequencies. Wider bandwidths instead affect larger frequency ranges with a more gentle gain slope.

Gain[edit]

  • Determines the amount of boost or cut at the center frequency.
  • Range: -15 dB to +15 dB
